Dukes Heavy Weight 10oz Cricket Ball

Description

The Heavy Weight 10oz Ball is a great Dukes Cricket Ball to develop the pace and skills of seam and pace bowlers. The Dukes Cricket Ball should be used alongside a traditional weighted ball to get the most out of it.

The suggested training and development programme using this Dukes Cricket Ball would be as follows:
Assuming a full warm-up has been completed with relevant stretches, the bowler would then be ready to bowl.
Bowl 3 deliveries using a standard-weight cricket ball
Follow this by using a lighter ball, such as the Lusum Safety Incrediball, and bowl 3 more deliveries.
Now use the Dukes Heavy Weight Ball to bowl a further 3 to 6 deliveries. Do not exceed this amount in one go, as you are slowly building muscle memory, and bowling more could cause injury.

The bowler should feel the difference in pace they can bring the ball through their action, and over time, this will become faster without any adverse effect on the accuracy.

This heavy-weight cricket ball can also be used for fielding drills and is widely used on the professional scene across the UK.

Repeat the process 1 or 2 times, being careful not to overstretch the bowler and being aware of the safe bowling directive as laid out by the ECB.

This Dukes Cricket Ball should never be used with a batter or bat in the net, as it can cause damage to both the player and the bat.
