Readers Cricket Balls
Readers Cricket Balls - Famous for over 200 years

Readers Cricket Balls are the biggest selling Cricket Ball brand in the UK. Readers Craftmanship and quality has been famous for over 200 years. Most clubs and coaches insist on using Readers Cricket Balls, for training and matches as they offer exceptional value for money and superb quality.
In 1808 Alfred Reader, Great Great Grandfather, to the current Readers generation, took over an ailing cricket ball manufacturer.Today, Readers produce over 500,000 cricket balls every year. 5% of these are grade 'A' balls currently being used in county and International cricket. The majority, though, are manufactured for club and school cricket.Readers, have been making their cricket balls at, Teston, Kent for over 200 years and have been at this site since 1928. At the end of 2012, Readers relocated to share resources with their parent company Kookaburra. Readers balls are used in more clubs throughout the UK than any other ball manufacturer.

Extended Range

Readers manufacture cricket balls for coaching, training and matches. The Soft balls produced for youth cricket include Windballs, Supaballs and the Allplay heavy tennis balls with seam. These have been so popular that Readers have extended the range to include adult Windballs, Supaballs and coloured hard cricket balls. Surprisingly the most popular being the pink cricket ball. They are extremely proud of the hide used for the manufacture of their cricket balls. The particular type of cow hide used, is generally from Switzerland or Scotland, as there is very little barbed wire to scar the skin of the cattle.
