As the new suppliers to the NBA and WNBA, Wilson have started to announce the models that will be used this year. The WNBA press release was announced today and the new Wilson Official game Ball of the WNBA is the Wilson Evo NXT. It is a 2 tone ball and is based on the original Wilson Evolution basketball. The new designed basketball is made of 100% composite leather and is available in size 6 only.

The new WNBA basketball is a striking ball and will be very popular, when it is made available. This is expected to be on sale from May 2021. There will also be a number of replica models available too. These will have an rrp of up to £25 and be for home and club use. Of course the Official WNBA basketball is priced a little higher @ £79.95. Wilson have taken over the WNBA contract from Spalding and the women's ball is the 1st to be unveiled. It has an enhanced grip and a soft mositure reducing feel.

Who Is Cathy Englebert and What Did She Say About The WNBA Basketball?

Cathy Englebert is the WBNA Comminssioner and took on the role in 2019. She is the 1st to get the commissioner title within the women's game. Having had a tough year and a half in the role she was pleased to be part of the Wilson WNBA Official Game Ball launch. 'As we head into our 25th season with more momentum and energy than ever. Wilson Also Announce WNBA All-Star Liz Cambage As An Official WNBA Advisory Staff Member

At the launch of the new WNBA basketball Wilson also announced that Liz Cambage will be the 1st WNBA Advisory Staff member. She will give feedback on the new products being introduced by Wilson. She will play test and provide feedback and will also collaborate on the new ranges. The Australian center for the Las Vegas Aces says 'I am so excited to be the first WNBA play on Wilson's Advisory Staff'. Liz continued 'It is beyond important for women like me to have a seat at the table, to influence creative ideas and provide performance insights' It is exciting times for the Wilson Basketball brand. The new range will start appearing on the Sportsballshop website from May 2021.
