Lets Get Gold and Sportsballshop

Rio Ferdinand was today announced as a judge on the exciting new sports show, Lets Get Gold, due to be aired on ITV1 in July. This new show of three pre-recorded episodes, will feature 15 sporting teams from across the UK battling it out for a £100,000 prize. Other judges will include Freddie Flintoff, Una Healy and Martine McCutcheon. Head of entertainment, Thames, Suzy Lamb said: "Teams will be displaying their skills in disciplines as wide-ranging as martial arts and cheerleading, and the panel will be looking for the UK's biggest and brightest sporting talents to showcase their skills like they've never been seen before." The show will be recorded later this month but, scheduled training days are due to start this week. Presenter Vernon Kay is very excited and hopes to benefit from the excitement surrounding the Olympics.
