The Next Premiership Manager Will be?

With the Summer sunshine moving us into the garden, you can be sure many Premiership managers will be hoping to move from the garden and back into a job in the world's best football league. Currently Aston Villa, Liverpool and West Brom are looking for their next manager. Whilst, Norwich, Swansea and Wigan are hoping to retain the services of the current incumbent. Liverpool owners are keen to replace Kenny Dalglish with Wigan's Roberto Martinez but, the fans are cold on that idea and want Rafa Benitez back. Benitez was sacked almost 2 years ago, after the club finished a disappointing 7th in the Premiership. Given the following two seasons of Roy Hodgson and King Kenny, that would appear to be a success. Rafa was reportedly paid £3 million to leave Anfield and has retained his luxury home on the Wirral. He also is a big supporter of the Hillsborough trust and still has Liverpool in his heart. Andre Villas Boas is the new favourite with the bookies to take over but, look out for Rafa's publicity machine to start working it's magic and at 12/1, it is not out of the question to expect him to be in charge for the new season. Aston Villa have had talks with ex Man utd striker, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but he has decided to say no, claiming family reasons as the hurdle. Villa will find it difficult to find a manager with a high enough profile to succeed Alex McLeish. Slaven Bilic will step down from Croatia at the conclusion of the Euro's and we expect him to be named as the next Villa boss. The latest odds have him at 33/1, which is worth a punt. West Brom have been linked with a host of big names including Claudio Ranieri, Roy Keane and Lee clark. This morning they hope to get permission to speak with Birmingham City's Chris Hughton. If Birmingham grant permission to Hughton to speak to west Brom, we still expect him to turn it down as he will want to prove he can fulfill the job and get City back in the Premiership. So who will take over? Our money is on Steve Bruce. He has a record that would suit West Brom and he has had long enough out of the game to be fully recharged. At 33/1 he is excellent value. Next week Chelsea will start their search for a new manager after deciding Roberto Di Matteo was probably a lucky manager rather than being a good manager. Harsh we think after winning 2 trophies this season but it is Abramovich's money and he is on the look out for another high profile manager. Capello will be a hot favourite but, Pep Guardiola will decide to chance his arm and try to retain the Champions League with Chelsea. At 12/1 not a bad shout. But what do you think? Who will be the next boss of the Villa, Liverpool, West Brom and Chelsea?
