We were contacted by the Manager of British Blind Sport yesterday, asking if there was a ball suitable for use, by a player who has become visually impaired. Here we select a ball suitable for use if you have a visually impairment.
We were contacted by the Manager of British Blind Sport yesterday, asking if there was a ball suitable for use, by a player who has become visually impaired. The player concerned used to play squash to a good level and wanted to get back into the sport. The issues though are she can no longer see the ball quickly enough to be able to have a meaningful game. Most squash balls are dark in colour so we needed to find a bright ball that would stand out against the court background. We also thought, if the ball moved slower it would allow the senses to react accordingly, enabling the player to cover the court quickly enough to enjoy the game again. The ball we suggested was the Dunlop Play Mini squash ball
